BeauFort London – exceptional British perfumery, animated by curiosity and inspired by the vastness of the sea.
The musician and writer Crabtree grew up in an artistic family of psychologists and sailors. As a child, he spent much of his time on a boat on the Thames. According to Crabtree, the sea and its associated traditions, as well as a penchant for superstition, were instilled in him from birth. But he also found inspiration for the passionate creation of his great love—fragrances—in the darker chapters of old England. So it's no surprise that BeauFort London's is distinctly British.
The name "BeauFort London" is derived from the scale used to classify wind strengths. It is synonymous with a framework for communication. "The wind is something constant, permanent, but also changeable and potentially destructive," Crabtree describes his vision.
Fittingly, the fragrance trilogy "Come Hell or High Water" was heavily inspired by British seafaring history. It is characterized by boldness, sometimes playing with repulsion, but always driven by inner curiosity and the desire to expand one's own horizons.
