Many consider the pneumatic brushes invented by Mason Pearson London in 1885 to be the best hairbrushes on this earth. They are still the epitome of high-quality and long-lasting brushes of a certain type all over the world: Namely, their main purpose is to massage and stimulate the scalp so that the blood can circulate all the way to the root of the hair. In other words, it's about penetrating the hair all the way to the scalp. The natural bristles embedded in natural elastic rubber are suitable for fine to normal hair.
Those with very fine, thin hair should go for the SB3 model, which has particularly soft bristles. For thicker manes, natural bristles alone cannot get through, so the mixed bristles (natural/nylon bristles) or - for very strong hair - the pure nylon bristles will help. These brushes not only massage the scalp but also thoroughly remove dandruff. In the long run, there is no better remedy against dandruff than the daily use of these brushes.
And one more thing: At the head end of a Mason Pearson brush there is a small hole into which no water should penetrate. Therefore, move the brush - if necessary - back and forth on the surface of a soapy water solution or better clean it with the cleaning brush that comes with all models. The "B" in the model names stands for "Bristle", i.e. natural bristles, the "BN" for Bristle/Nylon and "N" for Nylon. The handles are available in black, ivory, pink and blue.
