A shaving soap dish by D.R. Harris. Made by one of the most respected potteries in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of English porcelain and earthenware.

The D. R. Harris logo is on one side and the signature of the founder, Daniel Rotely Harris, on the other. The surface has been glazed but not stained to bring out the natural color of the clay.

Shaving soap is not included. Specially developed for refill shaving soaps from D.R. Harris.

The success story of D. R. Harris began around 1790 in London's St. James Street, when Harris' Apothecary was started by the owners Henry Harris, a surgeon, and Daniel Rotely, a former pharmaceutical chemist.

His initials are reflected in the name of D. R. Harris today.

Over the subsequent fifty years, the family business made a name for itself by selling Classic Cologne, Lavender Water and English Flower fragrances in London neighbourhoods.

In 1938, D. R. Harris was appointed Purveyor to His Royal Highness and later to the Prince of Wales.

In 2012, the Queen conferred the Royal Warrent on the company.

Today, the traditional apothecary shop in St James Street, with much of its original furniture, continues to offer an excellent service.

The fine selection of soaps, shaving creams and soaps, aftershaves and colognes, skin care products is aimed at those who care about high quality and distinguished products.

D. R. Harris is also concerned with the issue of sustainability. The company wants to be as climate-neutral as possible and is working hard to achieve this goal, for example through sustainable packaging.

Thus, D. R. Harris is committed to climate protection by planting trees for a purchase made since 2018 and sourcing most of their raw materials from the UK. The packaging is fully recyclable and partly reusable.

All products are of course animal-free and of natural origin.
