The English Soap Company looks back on a tradition spanning over twenty years. Inspired by discarded soap molds, founders Bob and Juliet spent years perfecting their skills, initially in their own kitchen and later on a farm in Waldron, to ultimately produce the perfect soap. Its silky texture moisturizes the skin while a designer perfume exudes a captivating scent until the bar is used up. The company's enormous success led to steady growth. In 2012, the business was handed over to their son Oliver, who has been supported by his wife Ailsa as Operations Manager since 2016. In 2017, the product range was expanded to include several items such as hand creams, hand sanitizers, shower gels, and perfumes. In 2019, the English Soap Company won the East Sussex Business Award for Export Business of the Year, and Juliet was named International Business Women of the Year. In 2020, the company was shortlisted as a finalist for South East International Business of the Year.
Even today, the family-run company, now comprising 35 members, strives to produce luxurious products of consistently high quality for its customers. The English Soap Company uses only pure plant oils and perfumes specially created for them by experienced perfumers. All products are handmade.
