A vibrant citrus marine fragrance that reflects a voyage of discovery through the Ligurian Sea.

"Neroli Voyage" draws inspiration from the beautifully scented orange blossom trees that grow along the Ligurian coast of France and Italy on a journey of ancestors and fragrances.

This unisex fragrance opens with a citrus scent of neroli and lemon, complemented by maritime notes for an added freshness of the sea breeze. The dominant neroli accord continues into the heart, where it is enveloped by an intimate jasmine floral and enlivened by spicy notes of ginger and aromatic fennel seeds.

Depth and complexity come from the base, which evokes the scent of oak wood native to the fragrant scrub of Corsica, and is supported by warm, sensual notes of musk and ambergris.

Extracted from the blossom of the bitter orange tree, neroli is prized for its uplifting value, which is intensified in this fragrance by a lemon and ginger.

Juan Famenias Floris kam 1730 von seiner Heimatinsel Menorca über Montepellier in Frankreich, wo er gelernt hatte, Duftessenzen zu mischen, nach England und ließ sich in der Jermyn Street, nahe dem Royal Court von St. James und im Herzen von Gentleman’s „Club-Land“ als „Barber“ und „Comb-Maker“ nieder, wo er mit seinen Produkten bald zum Gesprächsthema der Londoner Gesellschaft wurde und reüssierte. Für seine Kunden kreierte er individuelle Düfte, deren Rezepte er sorgfältig aufbewahrte, um sie bei Bedarf wieder nachliefern zu können. Er heiratete Elizabeth Hodgkiss, mit der er sieben Kinder hatte.

Die heutige Firma wird in der achten Generation geleitet von John Bodenham und Christopher Marsh, die beide Ur-Urenkel sind von Mary Anne Floris, ihrerseits eine Urenkelin von Juan, dem Gründer. Mary Anne Floris hatte James Bodenham geheiratet, daher der Wechsel des Familiennamens. Über sechzehn Mal wurde die Firma als Hoflieferant ausgezeichnet, jetzt ist sie „Perfumers to HM The Queen Elizabeth II“ und „Manufacturers of Toilet Preparations to HRH The Prince of Wales“.
