Dissatisfied with the superficial and ordinary offerings of English barbershops, founding father Brendan Murdock decided to take the problem into his own hands. Inspired by the barbershops of St James, Murdock wanted to create a grooming experience that met the demands of a modern and style-conscious man. The first Murdock London Barbershop was established in 2006 in London's iconic Shoreditch district and still welcomes thousands of customers today. As a man, not only the classic services of a wet shave or cut hair can be claimed there. The unique atmosphere and the possibility to order drinks also helped the entrepreneur achieve rapid success. Shortly afterwards, six more Murdock London Barbershops branches sprung up across the city and can be found from London's banking district to the subculture hotspot of Soho.
