Freshman is based on one of William Francis Truefitt's first formulations, which actually dates back to 1805. This subtle and refreshing fougère was conceived together with fashion-conscious students from prestigious universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.

They regularly visited Truefitt's salon in London. Eager to look and smell their best as they attended various fashionable gatherings and later mingled with London's high society.

The fragrance has top notes of lemon, bergamot, rosemary, mint and orange blossom - a heart of sage, lily of the valley and jasmine resting on a base note of mint, sandalwood, cedar, amber, moss and musk.
