The English Soap Company can look back on over twenty years of tradition. Inspired by disused soap moulds, founders Bob and Juliet spent years perfecting their skills, initially in their own kitchen and later on a farm in Waldron, to finally produce the perfect soap with a silky texture that moisturizes the skin and exudes a captivating fragrance through a designer perfume until the soap bar is used up. The company grew steadily thanks to its enormous success. In 2012, the business was handed over to son Oliver, who has been supported by his wife Ailsa as operations manager since 2016. In 2017, the product range was expanded to include several items such as hand creams, hand sanitizers, shower gels and perfumes. In 2019, the English Soap Company won the East Sussex Business Award for Export Business of the Year and Juliet was named International Business Women of the Year. In 2020, the business was shortlisted as a finalist for South East International Business of the Year.

Today, the now 35-strong family of companies continues to strive to produce luxurious products of consistently high quality for their customers. The English Soap Company uses only pure vegetable oils and perfumes created especially for them by experienced perfumers. All products are made by hand.
