Freshman is based on one of the first formulations of William Francis Truefitt, which actually dates from 1805. This subtle and refreshing fougère was conceived with fashion-conscious students from prestigious universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.
They regularly visited Truefitt's salon in London. Eager to give and smell their best while attending various fashionable gatherings and later mingling with London's high society.
The fragrance has top notes of lemon, bergamot, rosemary, mint and orange blossom - a heart of sage, lily of the valley and jasmine resting on a base of mint, sandalwood, cedar, amber, moss and musk.
