In 1805, Nelson won the Battle of Trafalgar and King George III sat on England's throne. In the same year, the history of Truefitt & Hill also began in fashionable Mayfair. This period was characterized by the high standards of the London aristocracy. Good grooming and vanity were the essential characteristics of the gentleman. Truefitt created a completely new level of service for the discerning clientele, setting new standards worldwide. In 1935, Truefitt took over the hairdressing business from Edwin S. Hill & Co. Thus Truefitt & Hill was born.

Today, Truefitt & Hill is the world leader in men's grooming with a range of exceptional products and legendary hairdressing services. From 1805 to today, Truefitt & Hill has been synonymous with unique innovation. In 2014, the company was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest hair salon in the world.

Truefitt & Hill served the Royal House of Great Britain for nine consecutive reigns and holds a number of Royal Warrants. The association with royalty continues to this day with Truefitt & Hill barbers. Truefitt & Hill is particularly proud to also hold the Royal Warrent of H.R.H.
