"A warm welcome

to the United Kingdom of Fragrances, the newly revamped website of The English Scent. When my father founded the niche perfumery - The English Scent - in Berlin in 1994, I was still a small child. I have always had a close connection to English fragrances and I grew up with them, so to speak. My love for the products has always remained.

In summer 2020, I took over the business from my father, Lothar Ruff, and am now the second generation to run it with my team. We are all fascinated by the art of English perfumery, which you may not have known about until now... Away from the mainstream.
